2nd Battalion Grenadier Guards & Gordon Highlander's 1884 (ish)

Good day, evening - good morning...

This is my first posting for a number of years...water and bridges - but all is well...and I am again with brush in hand...

These chaps have travelled with me - and such you will see numerous changes to colours and shades...as I find out which paints are matt and which are gloss...

So here goes...

Phase one was which I was travelling in Asia...

Then I discover that the paints I had purchased were gloss...eeekkk

Next trying to remove the glose..

Now for the Gordons...

Now to remember how to finish off and base them...

Greetings from Berlin

Cheers

  3. YAY!!!!! Welcome back!!! and with some lovely looking troops. As a nipper I had some 54mm gordons (colonial style)lead soldiers ..same red and green. My favourites at the time, unfortunately they all ended up being converted into air rifle pellets!! :-( I still like that colour Combo.
A bit late but Happy New year Duncan, and again, welcome back .

I do love the old Jacklex Figures...shame that Spencer Smith do not offer the complete range...heyho! I will be basing the lads this week as well as posting some more of my figures...getting the eyes to coordinate with my fingers after a few years is proving to be a challenge...so it is...great to be back online too! Cheers and greetings from a snowy Berlin...
