My Ansar army came together the other day to launch itself upon the imperial devils...
They are still waiting for the bulk of their camel troops - but we asured they are on their way across the heat and the dust of the desert dunes...
Some of my Ansar artillery conversions...

I like it Duncan, they look good, makes my lot look puny. It must have taken ages to paint that many Ansar and the flags in amongst them really set it all off.

I must say that is a fantastic collection. I love the little diorama touches to the bases. More please!

Hi Matt
ReplyDeleteThanks for the feedback...I am busy putting some more figures together as we speak...Dervish Camelry both from Hat and customised and finishing off my Naval Brigade Camel Corps too...brb :o)
Very cool, what is the rule set you use?
ReplyDeleteHi Al
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting your question. I have made up my own rules - but since my forces have grown I have been on the look out for some good rules...if you can advice some I would be most grateful.
Regards
Duncan
I found this page looking for Sudan resources prior to starting my own forces in 10mm.
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful army.
Thanks for the comments GE...its seems never ending and great fun!
ReplyDeleteSend me a note when you have pics of your 10mm chaps.
All the very best
Duncan
Truly terrific stuff!
ReplyDeleteIf I may ask:
1. How do you prep your plastic figs?
2. Do you seal them?
3. With what do you paint?
Desperately afraid of the paint-and-flake problem!

Hi Jim - first sorry for the delay in response...
ReplyDeleteI first wash the figs in washing-up liquid, then base coat with a cheap acrylic white paint...
I do have an issue with flaking...esp with figs that are over 10 years old.
Painting is with Acrylic's and now with a lap & glass...eyes are not as young as they were...
